Snow in England...

...AT LAST!!

The image I woke up to in the morning yesterday~

View from my bedroom window~
Can you see it? Two love hearts. At first, it looks like it was done by cars, but my mum insists otherwise, saying that it's impossible and I know that may well be true, but it brings much more happiness to believe it was made my cars. =^.^=

Right now, it is raining heavily and after a day's stomping on the snow - or compressed ice - there isn't much trace of evidence that it snowed yesterday... =( I hope it snows a little again, but not too much so that there would be transport problems...

J-ROCK

I have discovered some more amazing Jrock bands who seem so welcome to new fans that I may just be one. xD

I found a list of bands ordered in terms of opinionated levels of love, here.

You may not agree with the order, but I think in general, it's pretty accurate. <3
X Japan. For those who don't know who they are and state they are Jrock fans, then please revise your Jrock history and see who were the awesome people who started a whole new generation of Jrock in the 21st century. =^.^= They are an old rock band who recently reunited for the young and new fans. No matter how many comebacks they have, it can never be enough for their ever growing fans~

The Gazette. They're a new band to me, but the moment I heard their songs - their vocals; their guitar; their drums - I fell in love~ They drew me immediately. As I listened to more, my love for the rock and metal genre grew in general. =D

I had always been a fan of Alice Nine, and they were quite far down the list. I have not yet explored all those above them, but still, I think they deserve a better place, judging by the couple of bands I have checked out.

Lastly, I would like to share my fascination in female Jrock bands. They seem incredibly involved in their passion for such a strong genre of music and like to stick by the visual kei image with heavy make-up, exaggerated hair and clothing as well as excessive piercing. Many boy bands aren't like that and don't actually rock out as much, so I wonder why they seem to like to exaggerate their head banging and image...? Their screaming and shouting also seems to appear more often than other famous Jrock bands... Maybe because they are female, so they want to assert their rock side into their music as to not appear too girly or sissy, but I think they seem to try too much? Anyway, that's just my limited opinion on their few songs and bands. ^.^ I have checked out Exist Trace and Danger Gang though. B]

My Christmas Tree~~

Beautiful!
My Christmas tree at night!! I had actually put this tree up on the 27th November. I know it was a few days too early, but this year, I am extremely excited about Christmas! I've know idea why... Maybe because this year I have money to buy presents for the people I love. <3

I decorated this tree single-handedly. It's stunning, isn't it? ^o^ Ahh... It exhausted me! =D The joy of pride~

C'mon, compliment it! xP

My Beloved Naruto~

Manga scan from mangareader.net

Mangareader.net: awesome site for reading manga

WARNING: Spoilers for initial fans!!

I've always been a Naruto fan. Naruto was one of the first anime I've watched and I was captured by it since the very beginning! Then, when I was quickly up to date on the anime, I began to read the manga from around where the anime left off, and for the next year or two, I've been carry on reading, stopped, read others and then recently I caught up about 90 chapters of Naruto in one go and I'm totally in love again!!

Especially Gaara. I didn't like Gaara at all at the beginning, but then when I was aware of his sad childhood, I was in tears and Gaara was my NO.1 favourite ever since.
I was over the moon when Gaara became the Kazekage, though I thought that he would be on the same status level as Naruto, as they're of similar strength, but then Pain appeared and Naruto's fame shot up~ ^^

My second favourite has to be the mysterious Kakashi with his forever masked face. But it's nice how it probably won't ever be revealed, so the mystery always remains within Kakashi. =D His past made me cry so much though!

Third favourite has to be Itachi!! What he did for his "foolish little brother" will not be forgotten!! Though in the end, it seems like he was the foolish one to do such things for the Konoha village and expect peace and Sasuke would succeed his will and protect the village as well... Aw...

How the Photography Went...

Well, at first, when I held the almost a thousand pounds worth Nikon camera, I felt really excited and since it was new to me, I had lots of fun. My auntie had to buy a special macro lenses as well, so it all added up!

Initially, it started off with my sister getting frustrated at the difficulty of shooting jewellery, and then I said, "can I have a go," and she was like, "yeah," so I did and it sure was fun. Then, after we took a couple of good shots, my sister began to play with the levels of brightness, contrast and colour on the computer, then she began to clean it on Photoshop (to make the background white and all the shadows gone etc). Having cleaned jewellery before, I reeeaaally didn't want to clean anymore, so my sister got me to do the photographing whilst she cleaned. The lighting was still so bad though, after five 5500k fluorescent lights were shone (not directly, of course) at the tiny, little piece of silver and stone.

However (a comeback!), after experimenting, we found out that the best source of light was the Sun!!! Good news. But we are in England after all and the sun is hardly ever out, but lucky for us, just two or three days of the Sun appearing can finish hundreds of photographs! xD We set the tent out outside, so we directly in the Sun (hence I got sunburnt). The Sun is best from around 10am-5pm at the end of August. ^^ We didn't even need any lamps!

But... (dun dun dunn) at times the Sun was too bright, causing the jewellery's edges to be too bright and then you wouldn't be able to distinguish the background to the product (that has something to do with the aperture as well, but that was taken care of), so we had to use one of the huge lamp tripods and stick the anti-reflective shield thing to block some out, but it had to be at the right angle, or it would have been too dark and when the Sun was at just the right light, we had to move it out of the way and back again... U.U

Finally, we got it all photographed, which was very fortunate, or we'd have to return next time to finish it all off! Now, all that needs to be done is the cleaning, and that's the worst part! It takes like, 20 minutes to clean one photo! And choosing the best photo is also very hard... Ah well, I'll do my best! (Though I haven't even cleaned one since I returned home... shh!)

Another Birthday!

Red Hot Chilli Buffet deserts... ~.~

Ultra late, but it was my sister's birthday on the 12th August. We went to the famous buffet, Red Hot World Buffet. You get food from all around the world, but it was absolutely disgusting! The naan bread was soggy (probably from the day before), the meat were so hard, I gave up trying (must have heated it and heated it again...) the desserts were all terrible (I felt traumatised) and all they were, were sweet. Lastly, how on Earth can you fail at ice cream?! Must be the cheapest of ice creams in supermarkets or warehouses... ~.~

Anyways, a part from all that, we had a great time. I got her an expensive Mini Orchid, just because it had her name on the label. ^.^

Cakes...

...are delicious!

Individual pieces of cakes from Patisserie Valerie~ Maybe just a little too rich, but nonetheless brilliant! xD

Only managed to get 3 and a 1/4 in here, but they're nice, right?

Slightly smudged but ah well =]

A random hand adjusting the plate =S

My Birthday~

On the 21st of July, I wore a dress for the first time in ages. And I ate a lot too! ^^

Loved eating Korean food in Koreana. =D

Nice angle of the soup, rice, prawns and something else =P

So much food there was almost no room on the table left!

A bird's eye view of the table of delicious food! xP

Food... My Beloved~

No. 1) Sushi! Especially raw seafood!! ^^
No. 2) Chocolate, sweets and desserts! I can eat plenty of them!! Although I prefer normal, everyday ones, rather than really expensive, rich ones... xP
No. 3) Fruit!! I'm really picky on food though, as I only like the sweetest and best quality ones, or I'd rather not have any at all!! I hate a lot of fruits as well though... (like pineapples, mangoes and the type of melon that's orange inside.)

There's too many options on the other rankings! =P

Ambitions

When people don't know what occupation when they want when they grew up, how did they eventually decide then?? One of the troubles of being unambitious... And then where did people get their aspirations from? When some people really wanted to do something from the start... Like Luffy from One Piece and Zoro too. Being coming the pirate king, becoming the greatest swordsman in the world... Others too.
Naruto wants to become the Hokage, but I wonder what Ichigo wants? To protect those around him, I guess, but that's not possible in the real world, as you can't make a living out of it...
Sighs...
